History
The Little Creek Studio was founded in Gelterkinden/Switzerland by V.O. Pulver and Franky Winkelmann in 2002, because they wanted to capture the soundvisions from their minds onto tape. Actually, the studio was built for their own band gurD, but the day they plugged in the last cable, the first customers entered the Little Creek.
In the meantime, the list of artists has quite grown & they had the pleasure to work with bands like DESTRUCTION, FEAR MY THOUGHTS, UNDERGOD, ZATOKREV, PIGSKIN, AZIZ or THE FORCE.
Technology
In the beginning, the tunes were recorded on Fostex Hardisc-Recorders. But soon there was need to buy an old Sony MCI 24 Track 2" Taperecorder to capture the authentic analog sound.
Since then, the digital revolution hit the Creek. Now there's also the possibility to record with Cubase SX 3 and, with the help of 2 UAD-1 and a TC Powercore DSP cards, mix directly 'in the box'. With this setup, 'Total Recall' is guaranteed & you can always tweak your last mix right from the point where you stopped working.
If there's need for an Inhouse-Mastering, a TC Finalizer and different Mastering Plugins are provided.
Rooms & Accommodation
Unfortunately, there is not very much space and the rooms are small. Nevertheless, there's the possibilty to record a band in a live situation. During summertime, you can use the pool to refresh and also enjoy a little break for BBQ at the fireplace.
Since we have no place to sleep at the studio, you can check out some possibilities for accommodation HERE.
